At the Tournaments…
Destination Imagination teams will solve two types of Challenges: Team Challenges and Instant Challenges. Teams will perform their Challenge solutions to a group of Appraisers. Destination Imagination Appraisers are local volunteers who have been trained to assess the Challenges.
2017 State Tournament
Congratulations to all our New Mexico winners from the 2017 State Tournament! Winners are posted in the link below.
In addition to FIVE copies of your Challenge’s Tournament Data form (this helps the appraisers with your team’s solution) and Expense forms, the following forms are needed for participation in a state tournament:
- TOURNAMENT CHECK IN FORM: Team managers should fill out and turn in the tournament check-in form when they come to tournament. Since we’re going to order Tshirts for champions after tournament this year, this is the form which will indicate the number and sizes of Tshirts the champion teams will need and the address where we will mail them. This information is also very useful for the Globals liaison. // Tournament check-in form
- PERMISSION SLIPS: Team managers should send home the permission slips (both English and Spanish versions are provided) and get parental signatures for each and every child that participates in our tournament. These give us permission to post photos from tournament and permission for emergency medical treatment if a child has a medical crisis at tournament. Team managers should make a second copy of these forms: they will turn in one stack at registration table and keep one stack for themselves in case they need to reach a parent during the day. // DI permission slip in English // DI permission slip in Spanish
